Who are you?
Wasn’t that a song from that 60’s-70’s band “The Who”? I guess that’s dating me but fits ‘cause I’m still singing that questioning song to this day. I’m a “seasoned” racer who’s seen and been through quite a Journey…wait…wasn’t that another band from the 70’s-80’s? As you can tell I like music, all kinds. But I’m really a goof that is darn lucky I get the frequent chance to go really fast in circles around a racetrack having fun and showing off my stuff. I mix this in with a great team and racing community that is killer enjoyment and the recipe can’t be beat.

Where are you from?
Well, I’m known as “Wile E. Coyote” among all racing and riding circles so my pat answer is I’m from the high desert.

What do you do?
I work in management & science within clinical laboratory medicine so I guess you could call me a lab rat. That fits because they also go fast in circles while people watch just like racers. That job affords me the opportunity to purchase all kinds of ACME contraptions to catch that ever elusive RoadRunner. Just like the cartoon character you’ll find me chasing that speedy bird (racer) out on track using whatever I can get a hold of to catch him some day. All the while being a “genius” at it. I also enjoy teaching regularly with Z2 trackdays. I’m particularly involved with their NRS program.

What influenced you to start doing it?
Speed. I got faster than anyone in our street riding club at the time and decided to take it to the next level. Oh, you mean lab medicine? Well, a long time ago in a far, far place…..

Where do you do it?
All over the West Coast. I’ve driven over 15 hours just to go racing for a weekend, then 15 more hours to ride at another track. I easily tripled my annual mileage on my truck after I started racing and instructing. I “do it” at AFM, WERA and Z2 events.

When do you do it?
As much as possible; year-round for 7 race seasons.

Why do you do it?
For the really expensive plastic trophies! I’ve managed to get a few. You only get one shot at life so I like do it with a bang! My epitaph will say I work to live not live to work. I’m living my “retirement” right now. These are the golden years.

How do you do it?
By the grace that I was given and lucky enough to inherit from my mother. Put another way, the Coyote always has something up his sleeve to get the job done! Right now it happens to be on a couple of GSXR 750’s but I’ve been known to dabble in Italian machinery as well.

What else do you do?
I play tennis…or I used to and want to again. I travel. I continually discover how lucky I am to have Eric in my life. I try to always do the “right” thing as I was raised and taught. I make sure I have no regrets…and I don’t. .
